Related with celebration of Chinese New Year, I read good info about one of my fave food. I took this source from Wikipedia.

A steamed dim sim.

A dim sim is a Chinese - inspired meat dumpling - style snack food popular in Australia. The dish normally consists of a large ball of pork or other meat, cabbage and flavourings, encased in a wrapper similar to that of a traditional shumai dumpling. They are usually deep-fried or steamed, but can be barbecued (for a crispy change). Dim sims DIFFER from typical Chinese dumplings in that they are often much larger, have a thicker skin and are shaped more robustly. They are primarily sold in Fish and chip shops, service stations, corner stores and Chinese or Asian takeaway outlets in Australia.

History

Dim sims were developed in Melbourne by Chinese chef William Wing Young for his restaurant “Wing Lee”. According to Young’s daughter, celebrity chef Elizabeth Chong, her father was the first to create the popular snack’s style and shape in 1945, and to begin manufacturing them in commercial quantities :

“He chose the thick skin for ease of transport; he used to deliver them in his Chevy to the football where he set up in competition with the Four-and-Twenty pie. Before long, his factory was producing thousands of them for sale throughout Australia.

The dim sim has become a part of Australian culture, and is considered by many locals as an AUSTRALIAN FOOD.  The term ‘dim sim’ has planted itself so firmly into Australian English that even the traditional smaller Chinese-style dumplings are wrongly referred to as such. An Australian colloquial term for a dim sim is “dimmy”.

Chinese view dim sims as Westernised food, as the dim sim has very strong gingerly taste to it that is uncommon in authentic Chinese food. Also, the deep fried version has a skin very unlike the skin of deep fried authentic Chinese food. Despite this, Dim Sims are primarily found in Chinese takeaway outlets as well as fish and chip shops.

Dim Sims are typically served with soy sauce.

Variants

There are four variants of the dim sim commonly found in takeaway stores today. These are described briefly below.

Confusion Dim Sim A mixture of all types, including meat and garlic.

Tofu Dim Sim This is an unusual variety found at Japanese take away in Sydney and Canberra.

Meat Dim Sim This is the regular and most common variety. It may be served steamed or deep fried and is usually slightly cheaper than other varieties. The filling is mostly a mixture of ground pork and lamb/mutton. When folded correctly, one end of the meat dim sim is left slightly open and the overall appearance is a cylindrical shape.

Garlic Dim Sim The garlic, or Hong Kong dim sim is the most strongly flavoured dim sim. It is much rounder in comparison to vegetable or meat dim sims and is fried to a distinctive dark golden brown colour. The overall size is similar, or perhaps slightly larger than the meat dim sim.

Chicken Dim Sim Larger than the meat dim sim, it contains chicken mince and cabbage and is folded to resemble more of a parcel shape.

Vegetable Dim Sim This is the largest dim sim available and is nearly twice the size of a meat dim sim, and in comparison is quite soft to touch, even after deep frying. It is mostly cabbage and carrot, but may include other ingredients such as noodles. Vegetable dim sims are unlikely to be served steamed.

South Melbourne Market Dim Sim A variant of the ‘Garlic Dim Sim’ sold originally in the South Melbourne Market, now often sold in takeaway shops and fish and chip shops along side the regular Meat Dim Sim.

This is the tenth day I read the book “The Purpose Driven Life”, but I’ve read on the fourteenth day, and I want to share with you all.

God Is Real, No Matter How You Feel
by Rick Warren

The Lord has hidden himself from his people, but I trust him and place my hope in him. Isaiah 8:17
“To mature your friendship, God will test it with periods of seeming separation—times when it feels as if he has abandoned or forgotten you.”

It is easy to worship God when things are going great in your life—when he has provided food, friends, family, health, and happy situations. But circumstances are not always pleasant. How do you worship God then? What do you do when God seems a million miles away?

The deepest level of worship is praising God in spite of pain, thanking God during a trial, trusting him when tempted, surrendering while suffering, and loving him when he seems distant.

Friendships are often tested by separation and silence; you are divided by physical distance or you are unable to talk. In your friendship with God, you won’t always feel close to him.

Philip Yancey has wisely noted, “Any relationship involves times of closeness and times of distance, and in a relationship with God, no matter how intimate, the pendulum will swing from one side to the other.” (Reaching for the Invisible God; Grand Rapids: Zondervan, 2000, 242)

That’s when worship gets difficult.

To mature your friendship, God will test it with periods of seeming separation—times when it feels as if he has abandoned or forgotten you. God feels a million miles away. St. John of the Cross referred to these days of spiritual dryness, doubt, and estrangement from God as “the dark night of the soul.” Henri Nouwen called them “the ministry of absence.” A. W. Tozer called them “the ministry of the night.” Others refer to “the winter of the heart.”

Besides Jesus, David probably had the closest friendship with God of anyone. God took pleasure in calling him “a man after my own heart.” (1 Samuel 13:14; Acts 13:22)

Yet David frequently complained of God’s apparent absence:

“Lord, why are you standing aloof and far away? Why do you hide when I need you the most?” (Psalm 10:1, LB)
“Why have you forsaken me? Why do you remain so distant? Why do you ignore my cries for help?” (Psalm 22:1, NLT)
“Why have you abandoned me?” (Psalm 43:2, TEV; see also Psalms 44:23, TEV; 74:11, TEV; Psalms 88:14, Msg; Psalms 89:49, LB)
Of course, God hadn’t really left David, and he doesn’t leave you. He has promised repeatedly, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Yes, finally, we are here. This is the end of 2011, many things have happened. This year, I was duped by one man, it almost messed my future, but God replaced it by sending a lot of new friends who bring blessings, and one of them is you.
This year I didn’t go traveling, but God made ​​some of my business like traveling, because it indirectly, I enjoy the natural scenery in the place I visited. My father must stay in the hospital up to 2 ( two) times now still have an outpatient treatment and control, due to kidney disease, but miraculously, God’s still nurture my father up until this second, without the need for kidney dialysis treatment or kidney transplant. This includes all hospital costs the Lord had already prepared, because my father didn’t have any insurance. AMAZING !!

This year is really God’s mercy.

There will be Total Lunar Eclipse again. After a total lunar eclipse on June 15, 2011, December 10, 2011 there will be a second Total Lunar Eclipse. This rare phenomenon unfortunate to be missed because the new will happen again maybe  in 2014, 2015 (but in that year can only be seen partially Indonesia, also it wasn’t all phases can be seen) and the next January 31, 2018.

This month is December. All Christians wait around Christmas time. When all people share the joy and happiness with friends, friends, lovers, or family. It was fun. One way to enjoy the moments of togetherness are watching a movie together. This week, precisely December 4, 2011, will be broadcast premiere of a movie “THE HEART OF CHRISTMAS”.

The gmc World Premiere Movie, THE HEART OF CHRISTMAS, was inspired by the true story of the Locke family, which also inspired the new song of the same name by Grammy-nominated recording artist Matthew West.

THE HEART OF CHRISTMAS tells the story of one family’s quest for their seriously ill son to experience an early and magical Christmas, and how an entire community came together to make it possible. Their journey and desire to cherish every moment would change their lives and those of millions around the world forever.

The Heart of Christmas (inspired by a true story)

Dax Ryan Locke, born to Julie and Austin Locke on June 26, 2007, was diagnosed with AML M7, a rare form of leukemia, when he was 13 months old.

The Heart of Christmas is set in Washington, Illinois and at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, one of the world’s premier centers for the research and treatment of pediatric cancer and other deadly diseases in children. Told in flashback from the perspective of Megan (Candace Cameron Bure), a successful businesswoman, wife and mother of two, the storyline unfolds when her commitment to faith and family is renewed after reading the blog of Julie Locke, (http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/daxlocke), the online journal that Julie kept after Dax was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).

In The Heart of Christmas, Megan, who has been struggling with finding time for her husband Walt (Burgess Jenkins) and hasn’t made it to one of her daughter Emma’s (Brooke Bryan) soccer games all year, has forgotten that it is Halloween until her son Jackson (Christian Nelson, Hayden Nelson) is standing in front of her in costume, ready to go trick-or-treating. After bargaining with Emma to take her brother door to door in a nearby neighborhood for a few hours so she can finish a business proposal, they race out of the house, only to find hundreds of homes lit up for Christmas on Halloween. Confused by this scene, Megan asks neighbors Mark (Matthew West) and Trish (Erin Bethea), who have rallied the community to bring Christmas holiday cheer to the Locke family upon Dax’s (Chris Shone, Nick Shone) final return home from St. Jude, to explain the scene before them. Trish hands Megan a card with Julie Locke’s (Jeanne Neilson) blog information on it and encourages Megan to read it. Before Megan is able to react, Trish sends her away with a heartfelt warning, stating, “it will change your life.”

Through Megan’s narrative, we are introduced to Dax’s father Austin (Eric Beck), who is deeply concerned about Dax’s prognosis; the type of cancer has poor survival rates in children Dax’s age. Austin is committed to being open to new forms of treatment and to staying hopeful for Dax, for his wife Julie, her sister Melissa (Kelsey Marie Kingsbury) and Dax’s grandmother Theresa (Anita Renfroe). During their hospital stay at St. Jude, Julie Locke meets Michelle (Dendrie Taylor), whose daughter Elizabeth (Kaya Millar) is also being treated there. The Music Behind the Movie

The GMC World Premiere Movie The Heart of Christmas was also inspired by Matthew West’s viral holiday hit music video, “One Last Christmas,” released last year. West, who has penned tunes for Billy Ray Cyrus, Rascal Flatts and Natalie Grant, among others, heard about the two-year old from Washington, Illinois and his struggle with leukemia that sparked a worldwide outpouring of support for his family and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where Dax was treated at no cost to the family. On the heels of releasing his hit single, West helped to raise over $205,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This October, West released his first Christmas album, also titled “The Heart of Christmas.” Vince Gill, Amy Grant and Mandisa contributed to the album. Songs from the album, which is a mix of original music and holiday classics, will be featured throughout the GMC World Premiere Movie. The album’s title track will be released to radio along with a music video. West will also embark on a Christmas tour with Mandisa in December.

The Dax Locke Foundation

The grief Julie and Austin Locke felt after Dax passed away was eased by the love and support they received. In October, 2010, Julie and Austin welcomed a daughter, Madeline Elizabeth Locke, named after Elizabeth Dunford, daughter of Michelle, the mom that Julie met at St. Jude, who she remains close friends with. The Dax Locke Foundation, “Cherish Every Moment,” continues to raise funds and awareness for St. Jude. I got blessings when I read a book Prevailing Prayer to Peace written by Kenneth E Hagin and I want to share it with you about “Seven Step to Answered Prayer” :

1. Decide what we want from God (James 1 : 6-8 NIV). Take a decision about the things we want from God and be assertive about it ! Better we pray for two or three minutes and know exactly what what we pray for than we pray without any goal for two or three hours.
2. Read The Bible verses that keep promises to answered prayer (Joshua 1:8 NIV). The reason why people couldn’t pray with faith and belief are because we don’t know God’s word (Romans 10:17 NIV). We don’t know enough about God’s Word to find out whether the content of prayer is truly God’s will.
3. Ask God the things we want (Matthew 7:7-8 NIV). Although Jesus knew exactly what we need, He wants us to mention our need and ask for His help.
4. Whatever you ask for in prayer, BELIEVE (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it]. (Mark 11:23-24 AMP). We walk in our faith.
5. Refusing to hesitate (James 4:7 NIV). Erase all the suggestions, feelings or thoughts that don’t support our faith. Focus on things that build our faith, that we certainly accept all of our requests in prayer. Remember His promise in John 16:23 NIV.
6. Reflecting all His promises (Psalm 4:20-24 NIV). His promises said that we certainly accept it, but more than that : we HAVE RECEIVED all of our requests in prayer.
7. Giving our praise and worship unto God (Philippians 4:6 NIV). Lift our hearts and give thanks to God. Make every prayer is a statement of faith and praise.

“If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. (NIV)”

Untuk sebagian orang yang tidak berurusan dengan perbankan ataupun kegiatan transfer mentransfer mungkin tidak akan terpancing, tapi berhubung saya aktif melakukan kegiatan perbankan termasuk transfer, maka sms yang mempunyai motif sama seperti yang saya postingan di atas SANGAT MENGGANGGU SEKALI. Bahkan saya sempat hampir terpedaya saat saya menerima sms seperti itu untuk pertama kalinya.

Jika kasus penipuan sebelumnya yang bermotif “papa mama di rumah sakit dan tolong ditransfer pulsa” sudah terungkap dan para pelaku yang juga melibatkan sejumlah warga negara asing pun sudah tertangkap dan dihukum di negara masing-masing, semoga kasus penipuan seperti ini pun cepat terungkap agar tidak menimbulkan korban yang lebi banyak lagi.

Saran saya, hal yang harus kita lakukan jika kita menerima sms semacam itu, SEGERA HAPUS dan JANGAN HIRAUKAN !!!

Apa yang saya posting di sini merupakan pengalaman pribadi dan sebagai ucapan terima kasih atas service dan pelayanan yang dilakukan oleh semua crew Citilink terutama yang berada Kantor Citilink Bandara Internasional Polonia Medan, Indonesia.

Semua kejadian dimulai pada saat kami sekeluarga akan kembali pulang ke Tangerang. Setelah menyelesaikan semua urusan keluarga di Sigompulon, Tarutung, akhirnya kami putuskan untuk kembali ke Tangerang pada tanggal 20 Nopember 2011. Hal ini kami putuskan juga dikarenakan ayah saya, mengalami sakit yang cukup berat. Ginjalnya ada sedikit masalah yang mengakibatkan kakinya kembali bengkak dan sangat sakit sekali. Bengkak dan rasa sakit itu bahkan sudah sampai pada lutut ayah kami. Kami sekeluarga juga sangat khawatir karena melihat rasa sakit dan penderitaan yang dirasakan ayah saya pada waktu itu.

Perjalanan yang kami tempuh memang cukup panjang, sekitar 10 jam jarak tempuh dimulai dari Sigompulon, Tarutung jam 7 pagi hingga jam 5 sore kami tiba di Bandara Internasional Polonia Medan. Setibanya di bandara saya dan adik saya langsung menuju kantor ticketing karena kami sekeluarga sama sekali belum memegang tiket pulang untuk sore ini.

Beberapa kantor maskapai penerbangan sudah kami datangi satu per satu menanyakan penjualan tiket sore atau malam ini, apakah masih tersedia, namun semua mengatakan tiket sudah habis. Penyebabnya adalah adanya delay pesawat yang cukup lama sehingga beberapa jadwal penerbangan agak terganggu, semua maskapai penerbangan mengalami delay yang cukup bervariasi, dimulai dari delay 1 jam bahkan ada yang delay sampai  jam.

Saya agak kebingungan dan sedikit panik, khawatir kami tidak bisa pulang sore itu juga karena sudah kehabisan tiket. Tapi tekad kami sudah sangat bulat untuk segera pulang ke Tangerang, kami sangat tidak tega dan khawatir melihat kondisi ayah saya yang kesakitan. Hanya erangan-erangan yang keluar dari bibirnya demi menahan rasa sakit yang tidak terhingga dan kami pun berusaha untuk menenangkan danmenghibur ayah kami agar tetap kuat menahan rasa sakit itu.

Usaha terakhir, kami melangkah ke bagian paling ujung dari kantor tiketing bandara ini, yaitu Kantor Citilink Garuda Indonesia. Saat saya bertanya apakah masih ada penerbangan untuk sore dan malam ini, mereka mengatakan ya, masih tersedia tapi pesawat akan delay 1 jam dan harga tiket pun sudah naik menjadi 1,2 juta per orang. Berhubung tekad kami sudah bulat untuk pulang sore atau malam ini juga, maka meski harga lebih mahal 2X lipat dari tiket harga normal, kami tetap membeli tiket tersebut untuk 5 orang dengan penerbangan jam 9 malam (di tiket tertera jam 8 malam – delay 1 jam).

Begitu tiket pulang di tangan saya coba menjelaskan kondisi ayah saya yang sedang sakit dan meminta kursi roda untuk beliau. Petugas ticketing pun memastikan apakah sakit ayah saya parah sekali atau tidak. Mereka takut ayah saya tidak layak terbang malam ini. Tapi saya pun berani memastikan bahwa ayah saya sangat layak terbang, hanya saja kakinya bengkak dan terasa sangat sakit sekali jika digerakkan atau tersentuh, apalagi untuk berjalan. Sangat tidak mungkin bisa berjalan, oleh karena itu saya meminta kursi roda.

Masih agak ragu dengan penjelasan saya, sang petugas memanggil atasannya untuk dimintakan pendapatnya dan memberikan keputusan terbaik. Sang atasan pun muncul. Kesan pertama saya pada atasan yang baru datang tersebut, ramah, kooperatif dan bisa menjelaskan dengan baik. Bahkan sang atasan memberikan solusi agar saya meyakinkan pendapat saya bahwa ayah saya layak untuk diterbangkan melalui surat keterangan dokter layak terbang.

Memang solusi yang diberikan cukup membantu, tapi dimana saya bisa mendapatkan surat keterangan layak terbang di kota yang baru pertama kali saya datangi itu. Jangankan mencari dokter, untuk tiba di bandara pun kami sekeluarga sempat nyasar dan butuh perjuangan bertanya-tanya ke sana ke mari jalan menuju bandara. Mendengar penjelasan saya tersebut, sang atasan memberikan solusi surat keterangan layak terbang bisa didapatkan di dalam kawasan bandara pada saat check-in.

Kemudian saya besarta adik saya bergegas masuk untuk melakukan proses check-in sekalian mengambil kursi roda untuk ayah saya. Proses check-in dilakukan tanpa proses bagasi karena anggota keluarga yang lain beserta seluruh koper masih berada di area parkir.

Kursi roda sudah siap di dorong petugas maskapai citilink ke arah parkir dan kami pun bersama-sama menuju area parkir untuk menjemput mereka semua. Ayah saya yang sudah terduduk di kursi roda di arahkan ke ruang kesehatan untuk mengurus Surat Keterangan Layak Terbang. Setelah membayar administrasi Rp 50 ribu dan dinyatakan layak terbang maka saya segera menuju bagian check-in kembali untuk mengurus bagasi dan membuat Surat Pernyataan bertanggung jawab dengan penerbangan ayah saya sekaligus membayar airport tax sebesar 35 ribu per orang. Setelah itu kami semua digiring ke ruang tunggu penerbangan untuk bersiap-siap. Tak lama kemudian, petugas yang mendorong kursi roda ayah saya muncul kembali dengan 5 bungkus kotak makanan sebagai cemilan sambil menunggu delay pesawat.

Setelah menunggu lebih kurang setengah jam, petugas itu kembali muncul dan mengatakan agar kami bersiap-siap menuju belalai untuk diantarkan menuju pesawat terbang GA045 yang akan mengantar kami kembali ke Tangerang dan kata-kata terakhir yang diucapkan petugas itu adalah : “Selamat jalan dan semoga Bapak cepat sembuh ya”. 

Puji Tuhan !! Akhirnya kami bisa pulang ke Tangerang untuk segera membawa ayah kami ke Rumah Sakit Siloam untuk mendapatkan perawatan intensif.

Terima kasih banyak kepada semua pihak yang sudah banyak membantu semua proses sehingga kami bisa kembali ke Tangerang. Kami sangat puas dengan servis dari Citilink Garuda Indonesia Bandara Polonia Medan, Indonesia. Sangat disayangkan saya tidak sempat menanyakan nama-nama mereka yang terlibat. Sekali lagi terima kasih.

Ayah saya divonis dokter Dr. dr Parlindungan Siregar, SpPD-KGH, FINASIM dari Rumah Sakit Siloam, Karawaci, Tangerang, mengalami penyakit ginjal stadium 4 dan setelah keluar opname dari rumah sakit maka ayah saya diwajibkan melakukan diet ketat yang diberi nama “Diet Rendah Kalium”

DIET RENDAH KALIUM diberikan kepada penderita gagal ginjal yang mengalami oliguri (cairan urin sehari kurang dari biasanya) juga untuk penderita gagal ginjal yang mendapat terapi pengganti hemodialisa.

I read a book The Temple of Salomon written by Kevin J. Conner, page.115; nyc-022610 and since today is special day because of the special date November 11, 2011 or “11.11.11″ or “111111″ so I made a posting about The Numbers.

Simple numbers starting at 1 – 13 have spiritual meaning. The Interpretation Principle of Numbers in Bible that have spiritual meaning :

• Divine Number, Early/The Beginning/The First, Sources (Genesis 1:1, Matthew 6:33)
• Unity Number (John 17:21-23, 1 Corinthians 12:1-14)
• Number One “The Only One” (Genesis 22:2, Zackaria 12:10, John 3:16)

What’s CREATIVITY ?

Wikipedia posting that Creativity refers to the phenomenon whereby a person creates something new (a product, a solution, a work of art, a novel, a joke, etc.) that has some kind of value. What counts as “new” may be in reference to the individual creator, or to the society or domain within which the novelty occurs. What counts as “valuable” is similarly defined in a variety of ways.

Scholarly interest in creativity ranges widely: Topics to which it is relevant include the relationship between creativity and general intelligence; the mental and neurological processes associated with creative activity; the relationship between personality type and creative ability; the relationship between creativity and mental health; the potential for fostering creativity through education and training, especially as augmented by technology; and the application of an individual’s existing creative resources to improve the effectiveness of learning processes and of the teaching processes tailored to them.

In the English word creativity comes from the Latin creō = “to create, make”.

There’s one thing that we can’t forget. To make creativity on top level or maximum, it will need a PASSION. Passion will drive creator to training habits. Habits can gain traction and momentum.

I don’t know why, this month I usual to cry. I wonder why, is it any connection with my theme for this month about pray ?

I have a best moment that I never had before. November 3, 2011 as usual, I go home together with my assistant, he drives a motorcycle and I sit at back on him. He drives his motor cycle with our usually speed, it’s about 80 km/jam and always I hear some songs along our home trip with my ear phones. Suddenly, I cried so hard and my heart gave an order for me to worship Him. I turned of the music and started to worship Him. It took about 15 minutes and then my heart guided me to pray for my family, friends, brothers, sisters, my country also this world. I pray to God and ask Him to give peace and remind us forever with His promises so that in every situation we could stand up in Him forever. Amen.

And tonight, in my room…

After I played guitar some song that I could play, I worship Him again. Sing some song to Praise Him, The Lord and The Only Savior that saved my life and all people, Jesus. The only one wonderful name, the one and only who knows exactly our self, even sometimes words never enough to describe what we feel, but He always know everything. All. Also very detail of our lives our needs. Ooo Jesus… I love you… I can’t live without you. You are my needs. You are my everything. You are my perfect Redeemer. This is I am. With all I am. I come to You…

Then I open The Bible and read Act 16:16-39 about Paulus and Silas in Prison.

After I finished my reading, I use my hands, knees and mouth to pray. My spirit pray too. I can feel His presence. Tears runs hard but at the end I feel happy. I feel free. Comfort. Only smile on my mouth now, even the tears still run. It’s tears of happiness.

At the time I make this posting, I still can feel His presence.

What a wonderful moment. I suggest you must have this experience, in fact more than what I felt today.

That’s why :

“With Our Tears, Use Our Hands, Knees and Mouths to PRAY and See What Happen Next”

Just do it and don’t think twice !
